This child’s room was designed for today and for the future. Instead of choosing pink or purple to paint the walls, a more calming and sophisticated green color is used. This will wear well with time as the child grows and also is a very cozy color. The white furniture was the perfect contrast to bring crispness to the room. All of it can be purchased from west elm. The shag rug continues to create a very comfortable place to hang out and play or to read a book.

This kid's space is the perfect room for grandchildren to stay while visiting.

This bedroom consists of custom-designed bunk beds and shelving for stylish storage.

This celebrity baby nursery was designed for Lisa and Buddy Valastro. They didn't want to know the baby's gender before birth; the gender neutral nursery is a compromise of the mother's desire to have an elegant, traditional nursery without a theme and the father's desire for a jungle safari nursery theme with animals. The giraffe family wall hanging and a few subtle touches of safari accessories add the jungle theme to the otherwise traditional nursery.

This little girl's bedroom gets its whimsical feeling from the garden-themed faux-painted walls, birdhouse bed and colorful window seat. Little Miss Muffet stools provide a lift to hang up doll clothes and reach books in the birdhouse. Mice of all sizes gather in nooks and crannies to keep this little girl company as she dreams and plays in this magical room.

Master Bedroom Pictures 2011 " HGTV Dream Home 2011 "

Black furnishings and men's-wear fabrics pop against walls painted a vibrant cranberry shade.

A miniature replica of HGTV Dream Home 2011, 3-foot-high by 3-foot-wide Doggie Dream Home, constructed by carpenter David Brown, features space for two small dogs. Padding is upholstered in the same houndstooth fabric as wingback chairs.

A door from the master suite leads to a private balcony, where one can enjoy a morning cup of coffee or sunset cocktail.

Geometric shapes, layering of textures and intriguing design elements keep the eye moving about the room.

The queen-size pencil-post bed is dressed with boutique hotel-quality linens, quilted bedding, a cozy wool throw and a ticking-stripe comforter.

Lined drapery panels continue the room's focus on men's-wear fabrics, a subtle nod to Vermont's history as a leading textiles manufacturer.

An oversized walk-in closet, steps from the master bedroom entrance, provides storage space for both linens and clothing.

Decorating Design Ideas 2011 By Leslie Ezelle's

Leslie, an interior designer from Dallas, Texas, joins the cast of HGTV Design Star season six. Take a peek at the designs that earned her a spot on the show.

Eclectic and Modern

The gold lamps and the buffet are created by LeslieChristine Designs along with the original art work by Ezelle. Oversized large floor vases serve as an alternative candle holder with floating candles. "Toby the Kitty is available for personal appearances on demand, but you must go through his agent," says Ezelle.

Contemporary Bachelor Pad

Ezelle designs a bachelor pad to create a masculine yet seductive look great for throwing parties. This 15x17-square-foot room needed to have lots of space and places to sit. The look is achieved by combining contrasting colors of green ottomans with light furniture and warm browns.

Contemporary Dining Room

This dining room features cornice boards that are constructed from core poster board covered with batting and velvet assembled with a hot glue gun. With a light-weight cornice board, it's much easier to install by simply placing on top of the curtain rods hidden beneath. The Asian-inspired buffet dictates the color and style of this dining room.

Restored Furnishings

These two chairs were found in the trash (Ezelle's favorite type of furniture). She had them reupholstered in off-white leather and created a geometric pattern with studs all around the arms. The coffee table is created from a piece of glass that she sprayed a frosted color and two small book cases she laid on their side for extra storage.

Mod Living Room

Originally, this room had no light and was blocked off by walls to separate living and dining. By adding a sliding glass door and removing dividing walls, the 19x12-square-foot room feels twice as large. All the furnishings are white allowing the bright fuchsia wall to be a focal point of the space.

Relaxing Master Bedroom

Combining stone grey, warm earth tones with amethyst lavender accents and bold linens in white, this bedroom becomes a perfect peaceful retreat. The neutral linen covered chair, originally found in someone's trash, is saved and redesigned by LeslieChristine Designs.

Contemporary Office Setting

Inspired by "Set Fire to the Rain" (a painting by Leslie Ezelle 2011), the office has various shades of white in contrast with warm browns, metallic gold and platinum. It's important to have an office with a warm, home environment yet maintain a professional feel. Pictures of energy infrastructure and the firms products are used and presented in an artistic, edgy manner.

Modern Living Space

When dealing with a beautiful wall-to-wall window view, less is more. It's important not to compete with the view by keeping each decorative choice to a bare minimum.

Can't you just picture coming downstairs to the smell of coffee in your chic kitchen? Even though it isn't huge the space is really used well. I love the glass door cabinets and dark counter-tops. The fridge gives it a sleek look but the little touches like the green stools and cute lamp keep it more traditional and warm. The great thing about these types of designs is they look beautiful but it's nothing the average person couldn't do with a little elbow grease.

This dining room is a dream! Soft powdered blues and cremes are so serene and calming. It would be lovely to have a fireplace in your dining room to roar while you have your family dinners. The detail on the chairs is phenomenal as well. It's a solid light blue on the seat but the back has a pretty pattern upholstered on it and the rug below matches perfectly with the whole scene. Bon appetite!

I think this bathroom would be like having your very own spa in your house. Lots of dark finishes and stone looking tiles with a large soaker tub make it feel classic and comfortable. I think the floating counter is a really interesting look and the white coral accessory is the perfect touch. Give me my glass of wine and dim the lights because I'm ready for a soak!

This massive bedroom is the size of my entire apartment! It's so warm and inviting and the vaulted ceiling gives it a unique architectural touch that draws the eye. A bedroom is your sanctuary so it should be a representation of you and whatever makes you comfortable. A fireplace in the bedroom is so romantic and a chaise always looks like a luxurious place to flop down with a good book. I would love to retire to this paradise every night.

This is a basement hang out Candice did on a more recent episode and I am digging everything about it. It's such a warm colour pallet but it's practical at the same time. One thing that always drives me crazy is when designers fill a room with white furniture. Of course it looks beautiful but will it after your dark furred kitty has rolled around on it and the kids have spilled their juice or the dust settles and it just looks grubby? A dark couch helps you to feel less neurotic about spills and messes. The recessed lighting really works well here with a few lamps and sconces and the neutral rug ties everything together. Pop in your favorite movie and cuddle up with the ones you love!

Designer Candice Olson mixes comfy furnishings with elegant textiles and color schemes to create family rooms that define the meaning of lived-in luxury.

Rustic Chic

Hand-scraped oak flooring is the perfect contrast to the impressive limestone fireplace, and a wall of cabinetry with custom bookcases and stainless steel dressers provides plenty of storage for the TV and media components. Distressed leather furniture with tufted detail adds vintage elegance to the room with blue linen draperies creating a beautiful backdrop to the space.

Urban Functionality

In this urban loft, a color palette of gray, black and white is paired with shimmery steel and rich wood accents for a cool, contemporary vibe. Modern furnishings, smart track lightings and a dramatic ceiling fan combine for a stylish and functional living space.

Bold and Colorful

Two feature walls, one a brilliant fuchsia and the other covered in teal-and-gold paisley wallpaper, create an instant wow factor is this open plan living room. Low-slung furniture in white and peacock blue create a cool, lounge-like vibe, while natural-stained maple flooring and updated shag carpet ground the space.

Comfy Elegance

The corner is turned into an office with an antique desk flanked by mirror-backed bookcases, and the living room is ideal for relaxing with a large sectional and leather club chairs.

Cottage Casual

Custom cabinetry plays a key role in this living room, providing plenty of storage and a place to display collectibles. The fireplace flows seamlessly into the cabinetry and features a sandy-tone mosaic tile surround. To give the room a more intimate feel, a fan is hung 36 inches below the ceiling, while a color palette of white, sand, pale blue and green keeps the space light and airy.

Romantic and Feminine

Dark wood paneling is painted antique white to brighten up this living room, which features a color palette of pink, green, cream and chocolate. To mimic the fabric used on the chairs, whimsical vinyl graphics of an agapanthus flower are transferred onto the ceiling, giving it the quality of a hand-painted piece of art.

A color palette of greens, blues and tans complement the lighter tones, while paisley fabric and wall decals add a feminine, bohemian quality to the space. A reclaimed wood ceiling with faux beams adds architectural interest.

Eclectic Mix

Modernize a living room with a combination of different design styles. Sleek chairs in a classic paisley print are mixed with a traditional tufted ottoman in butterscotch leather and a contemporary sectional in taupe velvet. Rustic meets elegant in a two-layer treatment of woven blinds and silk draperies on the bay windows.

Contemporary yet Rustic

Rustic elements are combined with streamlined contemporary furnishings to create a couple-friendly living room.
